Thanks to the project "Beyond the Real: Museum Experiences in VR," funded by the University of Sassari as part of the Ecosystem of Innovation e.INS - Next Generation Sardinia, we have integrated into our visits a new, exciting experience: immersive flight in Virtual Reality. Put on DJI Goggles 3 visors and let us take you on a sensory journey above the most striking places in Sulcis-Iglesiente and beyond. Our certified pilots will guide the drone in real time while you experience the thrill of flying over mining sites, natural landscapes and cultural heritage, all from the comfort of your seat at the Rosas Mine. THE EXPERIENCE How it works: Take a seat in a dedicated area of the Mine and wear the visors. Our certified pilots will take off the drone, broadcasting live, ultra-high-resolution images directly into your viewers. Experience the thrill of flying firsthand: take a 360-degree look around, observe every detail of the landscape, and experience the sensation of soaring in the sky above Sardinia. Listen to the narration: as you "fly," one of our guides will tell you the history, trivia, and secrets of the places you are admiring. Thematic itineraries available: Above the Rosas Mine: Flyover of the mining area, old buildings, shafts and washeries, to understand from above the complexity and history of this important industrial archaeological site. Sulcis Landscapes: Flight over the surrounding mountains and valleys to admire the unspoiled nature of the Narcao and Nuxis area. Above the Nuraghi: Flyover of the Sacred Well of Santu Antine and the surrounding archaeological area (in collaboration with Genoni Museums). Giara Horses: Flight over the plateau to admire the unique flora and fauna from above, with the possibility of spotting the little horses.
